Why Support AIRSS?

  • AIRSS is the statewide voice for Illinois rural and small schools
  • AIRSS is the rural advocate for its members on both state and federal education policy and legislation
  • AIRSS was the driving force behind the legislation that cemented the Rural Education Advisory Council (REAC) within the IL. State Board of Education. REAC Meets regularly and formally with ISBE key staffers.
  • AIRSS is directly engaged in Rural CTE equity assessment, supports and Pathways development, and has a longstanding commitment to solving rural educator and staff shortages
