The Association of Illinois Rural and Small Schools congratulates the Illini Bluffs School District #32 on the recent recognition by the U.S. Department of Education.
The Assistant Secretary of Education, Frank Brogan held a virtual town hall with Illini bluffs teachers, students, administrators and invited guests to congratulate them on the work they have done to successfully return to school and learn more about their efforts and the great work of the school.
This is the second time this month an Illinois rural school has been recognized by the Department of Education. “We are very proud of all our rural and small schools in Illinois and are excited they are being recognized for the work they do, in spite of the lack of equitable funding and resources,” says Dave Ardrey, Executive Director of AIRSS.
